Salvation - God's redemption for mankind

God wants a relationship with you;

• Revelation 3:20
  ²⁰   Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
   

• 2 Peter 3:9
  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

But a barrier separates you from God;

• Romans 3:23
  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

• Romans 5:12
  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

The penalty for sin is severe, yet forgiveness by God is available to all;

• Romans 6:23
  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Receiving God's forgiveness and His free gift of Salvation requires belief and action;

• Romans 10
  ⁹   That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
  ¹⁰   For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
   

A prayer like this reaches God;

• Dear God, Thank you for loving me and giving your only Son, Jesus, to die for my sin.  Please forgive me for my sin and rebellion against you.  Jesus, please come into my heart and change me . .  make me a new person through you.  I need your peace and guidance.  In Jesus' name I pray. Amen
